When affixed to almost any material, the Revolution Acoustics SSP6 Multiducer™ (multipurpose invisible transducer) transforms any common building material into massive full frequency high fidelity speakers. All-new physics propagates “Ergonomic Sound”. This means a resolution to many significant problems inherent in conventional cone speakers.
Excellent results can be obtained with almost all panel type common building materials such as glass, drywall, metal, wood, fiberglass, laminates, composites, gypsum board, ceramics, plastic panels such as polycarbonate or acrylics, etc. Geometry flexible; the substrate does not have to be a flat panel but can include curved fiberglass structures such as tubs. Structures include walls, windows, ceilings, floors, tables and other items of furniture, bathtubs, boats and many more. These materials find themselves in residential environments, retail, commercial spaces, and industrial environments.
We recommend a good quality full frequency amp be used ranging in wattage from 80 watts per channel to 150 watts per channel. 150 W/ch is preferable but depends on the application. As we are driving a mass of material and not an aluminum or paper speaker cone, a little more power goes a long way in allowing the SSP6 Multiducers show off their fabulous potential.

Yes. The SSP6 Multiducer™ is IP65 certified. It is “ingress protection” (IP) certified. In short it can be used in wet environments or very dusty environments. It is purposefully built to be used in some outdoor applications, marine, industrial and other places where other speakers’ life cycles would be vastly reduced or just would not work. Numerous new applications now become available because of this capability.

Revolution Acoustics has perfected distributed mode speaker technology; the science of inducing bending waves into a panel which move air to make sound. The result is naturally radiated sound similar to the soundboard of a piano or the body of a guitar. The guitar strings and piano wires transfer energy to the soundboard or body of the guitar which when excited by the strings energy radiates produces clear accurate sound. The Revolution Acoustics SSP6 Multiducers™ and RA2 Intelligent amplifiers deliver accurate full range audio. The measured frequency response is 45 Hz – to 20KHz. The system uses a high pass filter in our amplifier at 60Hz so as not to overexcite the materials we install to. The voice bands measure comparably to audiophile reference speakers on the STI Index (Speech transmission Index), and the system not only achieves 20KHz, but, has a 10dB boost at 20Khz (measured on drywall and glass). Couple this with the new Physics and Ergonomic Sound™ and you have an audio technology that delivers immersive sound unlike anything else.
We have worked very hard to make specification simple. Our SSP6 Multiducers™ and RA2 Intelligent amplifier will work for any and all applications, from a small single Multiducers™ cost effective monaural application, to a paging / sound masking system for an entire building, this is all that is needed. There are no thick catalogues rendering decision-making complex and time consuming.
Not for conventional audio applications. The SSP6 will go down to 50Hz, unlike any other transducer offering. That said, for a restaurant or home theatre application, a subwoofer is always welcome to enhance the User Experience, and where 20-30Hz is expected.

Revolution Acoustics technology covers a much larger space than conventional drivers so far fewer drivers are needed, and far less product to install as a result. Not at all. The vibrations imparted to the material by the SSP6 Multiducer™ is insignificant, measured on a nanoscopic scale. By way of example the HVAC systems prevalent in all building such as the air conditioning systems, impart orders of magnitude more vibration.
The Rev-Loc™ mounting plate is a universal installation plate adhesively mounted to the materials being driven. They are mounted quickly, and then the SSP6 Multiducer™ is screwed on for a full installation in only minutes.
There are 3 basic adhesives that are recommended and depend on the materials to which you are affixing the SSP6. In all cases, the adhesive should cover the base of the Rev-Loc™ mounting plate. For drywall, a good grade of regular superglue (cyanoacrylate) is recommended. For glass, plastic and other smooth non porous surfaces our UltraBond 2 side peel and stick adhesive tape is recommended, and for rougher materials such as wood and fiberglass, a good grade of 5 minute epoxy glue is recommended.
The choice is yours. The Multiducer™ will sound equally good on either side, and due to its very small size, if installed outside the wall, can still be hidden behind a couch, end table or potted plant. For the applications where the SSSP6 Multiducer™ is exposed, a white paintable cover cap is available to make the unit “disappear” on the wall.
Both are very easy to install into. For a new construction wall, the Rev-Loc™ may be adhesively mounted onto the inside surface of the drywall using super glue. The SSP6 Multiducer™ is then screwed on and the speaker wires connected prior to closing the wall. In an existing construction, a 4–5” access hole needs to be cut below or above the desired install point. The Rev-Loc™ should be solidly screwed to the SSP6. Wires can be connected prior to the installation. Cyanoacrylate superglue (liquid and not gel formulation) is placed on the Rev-Loc’s™ surface in a tight zig-zag pattern. Insert the unit into the wall cavity extending the unit as far as possible away from the opening. Press the unit onto the drywall and hold for a short period until the glue is set (1–2 minutes). Used the drywall cutaway part to patch.
For outside wall applications onto painted surfaces, the UltraBond peel and stick glue pad may be used.
For ceilings, the installation is similar to inside a wall cavity, unless access can be had through a light fixture port. Take care to install the SSP6 away from the opening.
