Envisioned as a beacon of mutual understanding, harmonious coexistence and peace among people of all faiths, the Abrahamic Family House was a project commissioned by United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Award winning architect, Sir David Adjaye, designed three religious spaces — a mosque, a synagogue and a church meant to foster inter-faith dialogue and community. The challenge was to find an audio solution that could provide immersive, high-quality sound throughout these expansive spaces without marring the architectural design with visible equipment.

Designing an Audio System that Doesn’t Distract from the Architecture
The design of these spaces of worship called for unobtrusive audio that wouldn’t interfere with the sacred and minimalist interior. More importantly, the audio needed to be clear and intelligible, ensuring that every part of the worship space offered the same auditory experience during prayer and reflection.
Designing audio systems for houses of worship always had its share of challenges. Visible audio equipment could be intrusive and distract from the architecture and intentional design of the spaces.
