Magical Museums
Surprising the Populace
With the guidance and support of the Timmpi Group France, the landmark site of Le Jeu de Paume in Paris was transformed magically using Revolution Acoustics SSP6 MultiducerTM transducers. The edifice was first opened in 1861 during the reign of Napoléon III and is the seat where the game of modern tennis was started. Since, it has been transformed into the National Galerie and is now an arts centre for modern and postmodern photography and media.
The globally acclaimed artist, Katarzyna Krakowiak Balka, used this mix of technology and architecture to create soundscapes within the museum as well as in the surrounding Tuilerie Gardens outside. The goal was to acoustically animate the spaces both inside and out with targeted soundscapes animating the user experience as they walked the museum or strolled the gardens.
"The effect was breathtaking. Revolution Acoustics' technology provided the means to permit the artist to literally paint the environments in with sound in ways no other audio technology could." - Julian Galli, CEO of the Timmpi Group
Whether it be a living room in a residential application, or a historic landmark, all audio problem-sets benefit from Revolution Acoustics' distributed mode loudspeaker (DML) planar wave physics.
It’s easy to release the white knuckle grip on legacy cone type speakers when the outcomes are this simple and transformative.
